When asked about codification, Carter stated it would not be completed in time for the special Town meeting this fall.

Watching the selectmen meeting of Aug. 8 this morning, I saw Carter state he sent email to advisory concerning possible by-law conflict and that there was nothing heard from advisory. Well here you go; it is a reason it was on advisory agenda of Aug. 2, 2018. Either someone is mistaken or there is a misinformation campaign from the office of selectmen?

I dont know about anyone else, but when Mr. Fortes started talking about meeting with Advisory you could see the recoil from the other members. You could hear the contentiousness in Carters voice. As Cameron persisted you could literally see the tension.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I could have sworn Carter said the codification was finished and he had not had a chance to review it. That was in May. I have a funny feeling he did review it and did not like the result. Think maybe a resident, also a member of the A.C. should get a copy, and see for them selves. Trust in our T.A. is not high on my scale of officials we have running our Town. I may be old..er, but my memory is fine. Finished or not, this codification process is important and cost us , how much again ? This should be part of the A.C.'s discussion.
ReplyDeleteAt last nights meeting the BOS Opened the Warrant for the Fall Meeting. It closes on 8/27 which is technically 18 days. The Town by-law requires the Warrant to be open for a minimum of 14 days.
ReplyDeleteMy issue is that in reality the situation which is Town Hall is only Open for 10 of those days.Why is it that the town administration is always looking for ways to minimize the input of citizens.
Could it be, the people in this community are catching on to the stonewalling that has gone on in this town, for far to long. Having Citizen comments at the start of a meeting is ridiculous ! At least the Chairman is allowing citizen input. There was a while when they tried to stop that all together. This is your government ! Pay attention!
