Dear Templeton Resident: The Templeton Board of Health in conjunction with the Department of Public Works, Community Services, and the Parks & Recreation Commission are happy to inform you that the sports field located on Cottage Lane, East Templeton, will begin to be utilized again to support the local sports teams from the schools and the Town sponsored teams. With that, it is very evident that the field is currently used by locals for their dogs, many unleashed, and many using it as a place for their dogs to do their business without the proper removal of the waste. Unfortunately, what’s left behind can be injurious if slipped on and is at the very least a nuisance. We’re asking that you do your part and keep your dogs on leash and if they defecate, pick it up and take it with you. This is a bylaw with the Town of Templeton and a fineable offense, we prefer compliance. We thank you for your anticipated cooperation with this situation, and if you have any questions, I would be happy to provide any answers I can.
