With regards to the document/information and letter sent to the chairman of the board of selectmen by a Town resident on October 30, 2016 and as of September 6, 2017, had received no response. after the BOs meeting on Monday, September 25, 2017, the chair of that board was given a copy of the cover letter and I was told the chair would contact Mr. Heaney. I do not know if that has happened yet. My impression was the selectmen did not want that brought up at a public meeting. I get the feeling they did not want that on the record, on tape. That is my thought and observation.

  1. Thankyou Jeff for that explanation. I appreciate greatly your bringing this matter to the public and on the public record as well.

Anon 9:50, If your looking for (less than factual) info from your Selectman you might want to look into the (Grandfathered) safety regulation for the Town Hall playground.

    1. Mr. Heaney spent a great deal of time and money to produce this document. He made a copy for every AC member. I does my heart good to see that other people worry about the lack of historical facts preserved for the future, never mind the fact the information is not available for town residents today. Our BOS Chairman said he never saw this information !! Well the timestamp says it was received by someone in the town office building. Could it be that it was easier to ignore, than to address the facts that were brought to light ? Seems like many things have been ignored by the people we have elected. How many times did Mr. Spring call Mr. Caplis, only to be cut short, with a promise to call back, that was never kept ? More than once would be the answer to that question. Many of the problems that we are dealing with could have been avoided with a little cooperation. That is one commodity that has been in short supply, and there is no reason for it, none at all. You do not have to love us, you do not have to like us, but working with us for the benefit of the community would be the smart thing to do. How much longer does anyone think this community can exist the way things are going ? We have next to mo money in stabilization, that is not acceptable ! We have to settle our debt with the state, we have years and years of road work the will take decades to catch up. It seems our town's reputation has made working for our town toxic. It is my feeling that throwing money at our workers is not going to solve anything at all. How many times have our workers been laid off in twenty years, I will bet 98% of you readers have no idea ! So where is the plan to get us on track ? Did that leave with the joke that was our first intern TA ? Our roots are rotten ! Years of trying to spend our way out of the mess we are in, are part of our history, along with electing people with their own adjenda, or working for someone else's. It is time to stop running our elections like a popularity contest, but choose people with backgrounds that have some knowledge of running a multi million dollar business. Until big changes are made we will get the government we deserve. That is a proven fact. My opinion, based on the truth. Bev.
