Some selectmen meetings now called "Workshop" meetings. This seems to imply, in my opinion, that these meetings will only involve discussion rather than action. Do not assume that, if interested in your business, please attend.

  1. Jeff, would you be referring to the BOS Policies and Procedures? I believe they state something like.........
    -------------------------------------
    "WORKING MEETINGS:
The Board may conduct informal “working sessions” from time to time as the situation warrants. At such meetings,
this will be posted in accordance with Open Meeting Law, no final action will be taken. A synopsis of transactions of
informal meetings will be made a part of the minutes of the following regular meeting."

    --------------------------------------

Still no slot for "Public Comment" on Agenda as shown on the "Policies and Procedure pages of the BOS.
    ------------------------------------
"The above does not apply to the Public Comment portion of Regular Select Board Meetings at which
time any citizen of the Town may appear to discuss his or her concerns with the Board, allowing a 10-
minute time limit to each individual."
    ----------------------------------------------

Nice to see the Policies and Procedures are being followed by our Administration............lol.

Why even have these Policies and Procedures if we dont follow them?

    1. The last workshop meeting I will ever attend, was a couple of weeks ago. I have much better things to do than sit and listen to the Board of Fools go on and on, just to hear them selves talk. In the audience was a woman I know pretty well, because she had a very important job at Simplex. This nice lady, was good enough to attend, but was not allowed to speak, even though she knows more about some of the same subjects the BOF's were discussing at the time. Does that make any sense ? So if what Bob M has referred to actually is true, it seems that the BoF's, cannot make any decisions, because "no final action will be taken." Maybe the way to get around people from the public interacting will backfire. Sure looks like it ! hee hee, as Pauly would say!!
