Asked for electronically for reasons of ease of distribution to all members and saves paper and copying time which equals resources as in taxpayer money. The Advisory Committee received a printed copy which now has to be copied and handed out at the next meeting where members will see it for the first time rather than receiving it electronically so as to be able to review it and write down questions prior to the meeting. One has to like the cooperation of Town Hall and the open and transparent manner of operation.

  1. This type of thing makes me wonder, you? My first thought while reading this was that someone is trying to make it more difficult to put the details online. This "is" public information is it not? Someone sure seems to have an issue with supplying public info for some reason. I keep on hearing the word "transparent" but it seems more accurately to be "invisible".....
Anyways I sure hope that is not the methodology as its a bit obstructionist.

Trying to hide things or maybe they are not as smart as the auditors think. Maybe she doesn't know how to attach a file to an email!

  3. As Jeffy was designated the contact he got the request as requested.
Just a simple thank you would have been ok.
So start the name calling kids.

  4. David,

Did you read he asked for it electronically? It seems like "a kid" already started the sarcastic responses

  5. If the chairman had asked that certain way it most likely would have been done.
If she had it electronically? Or to print it was easier why not.
    She did what was requested.
If the advisory has any funds left over they should pony up for the unforeseen cost of the winter, and expenses.
Or how about to add to the unforeseen fleet expenses we have had the last few months after such a unforeseen hard winter.
Pony up AC Templeton needs your help again.
So the Snow and ice budget is ok at 125k?
    No change?
    Advise?

  6. Hey David,

Were any of the items purchased on the snow and ice budget required to be on the Capital Plan? Anything over 10,000 with a 5 yr life?

  7. All purchases were done through the superior board and final approval was through them.
I would think in a open public meeting.
Why would they be. Roads are done the same way?
Without a meeting with a quorum we would still be talking about it.
    Procedures?
    Just do it!!!

  8. So is that the long version of NO? Is that the "we are not responsible" answer?

It's the Departments responsibility to place items on the Capital Planning list. Maybe its time you point all your critique at your department and make sure they are following the guidelines set in place. Even now you point fingers at the BOS who listened to your department request and decided the towns needs must come first regardless of whether the policies were followed which your answer seems to imply they were not. You should be thanking the BOS for covering your arse, not critiquing them for covering it!

Everyone needs to follow the procedure or the entire effort fails.

  9. It seem you have been training Bennett all along.
Now he couldn't learn and needs you mentoring?
How can every effort be followed if there wasn't a cpc meeting to be had?
What part of that got past you again and again?
Maybe you should have stayed anonymous.

  10. David,

How can every "effort"? It's not an "EFFORT" It's a freakin by-law!!! You act like it was your "CHOICE"? Nothing stopped Highway from filing in the appropriate forms and sending them to the Chairman of the CPC, period. Nobody did which isn't following the by-law, but oh well, right. You have the handy book of excuses. Well excuses are like ***holes, everyone has one and they usually are full of "covfefe" (trying to be polite).

Like I said, take responsibility and turn you attention to fixing your own departments issues rather than just blaming others who point it out.

  11. The people pointing need to look at the mirror and figure what the town needs.
Focus on the things that will make a difference and become a productive part of something better than a rear view mirror scene.
If all of JEFFYS and your efforts could be put to good use it MAY make a difference.
Sorry about the MAY use. Bob.
What i hear when talking about you Bob to others isn't so good.
Thought you would like to know.

    2. Hey Dave,

Guess what Dave. What have I, not anyone else been pointing to in the past since the elections? Name it.

I've talked about Policies and Procedures violations.
I've talked about State regulation violations.
I've talked about the Stabilization Fund Balance issues.

You want Roses, well, plant some. I hope I'm ticking people off, or making them smile, either way maybe they will participate. Maybe they will get pissed at me and volunteer, run for elected office.........all good. See, I dont give to plug nickels about peoples opinion. In my experience most people I meet are oxygen thieves! They walk around like sheep, standing up for nothing and laying down for everything. They give away rights daily, refuse to question and line right up to be scolded by some fool who thinks someone cares.
Dave, I'd personally like you to tell the person, people that have so much to say about me that I'm truly glad I'm that important in their lives to take up space in their brains, unfortunately for them its not mutual. I guarantee anyone speaking to you about me doesn't even know me.

See Dave you get personal because you cannot support facts! I wouldn't know you from Jack, wouldn't know you if I met you, dont really care to. I Joined your Blog because I respected your Uncle, but go ahead and look at your Blog. Look at who posts. Look at Traffic..............watch it change. I believe people have gone their in spite of you, not because of you.

You go and rip me all you want I doubt anyone really cares. I own who I am. No shame in my game pal. I am who I am , and dont care who you are, and I'm fine with it.

    3. Dave,

Read the comments.............What did I ask? Did you answer or deflect and get personal. Maybe thats your answer, quit talking. Irresponsibility is what you bring, Templeton has had enough of that!
