Town resident questions his town government. Town employee does not like being questioned, interferes with his free time.

So, the town employee, Templeton town administrator uses tax dollars to complain that a few town residents are causing him grief because tey are asking questions and then said town employee states he is going to talk with chairman of select board, who is a government employee (outside of being a paid selectman) to make a list of names of people asking questions and for information (a job of government employees) and make it sound like the residents are costing tax payers money by asking questions.
So, if you follow along, a town employee, adam LaMontagne, is using tax dollars, is time, town paper, computers, etc., to complain that a few residents are asking too many questions, which as the town employee tasked with day to day stuff of town governance and one of the town's records access officers, he is using tax dollars to complain about having to do his job? Wonderful, even Bear is shaking his head at that one! If this was not so serious, it would be damn funny, a town employee using town money to complain about having to do his job, fantastic.

  1. This is Templeton.

I mean look what Jeff and Bob did now. Must have made Adam spend time writing the report on "reasons my job is to tough" I wonder how much that costs at $50+ an hr? If He was talking to Mike, well, you know that wasn't quick...........lol

Just look to the Parks and Recreation arrangement in its entirety and you'll see how we are "Executing more Efficiently"

  2. Went back a did a quick scan at my Habitual Requests.......

On or about the 21st of each month I make a Records Request for the monthly BvA since they stopped publishing it.

In Oct/Nov I make a few additional request regarding budget items

April/May pretty much same thing regarding budget and a a couple request for things not supplied, you know, to be transparent.

    Have a nice day,
    HR

Town claims transparency. TA should just post routinely requested info to the website automatically. Don't make people ask for it every month. Evaluate efficiency improvements. Management 101 stuff. Maybe the SB should supervise what their direct report does.

    1. Used to do it and I found it really helpful to get familiar with town budget when I joined Advisory. It's not a small budget, but really has a tight margin when funding the true budget.

Maybe Jeff knows if the Board still gets a monthly............if so, which is more work, posting it to web or answering responses from Habitual Requesters?

It shows the attitude in that office..................

  4. Speaking for my self, if the selectmen would do what I asked, post monthly expenditure reports to web site as they are received, I believe the TA would 2 less records request each month. If the selectmen would instruct the TA and accountant to put forth the monthly expenditure report at a specific time each month; by the 15th of the following month. Example would be October
report to TA by November 15 and so on. Then the TA posts it to town website upon receipt. No months off either!
