Talk about wasting people's time, advisory committee to meet with selectmen on July 12 to transfer funds from fire dept. to information technology and to insurance and benefits.

1. annual town meeting in May, town meeting voted to transfer $52,500.00 into insurance and benefits and now they have to put more money in to that account.
2. They did not know this back on June 28, 2 days before the end of the fiscal year?

Either need a new accountant or a new abacus or both. While they are at it, buy the town administrator a new calculator and include some lessons on use.

May 2023 Templeton annual town meeting,
article #2 On a motion duly made and seconded the Town voted to approve and appropriate the sum of Two Hundred
Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($202,500.00) for supplemental appropriations to the Fiscal Year 2023 Operating Budget as follows:
Department Amount Reason
Insurance & Benefits $52,500 Increased Enrollment
Snow & Ice $150,000 FY '23 Deficit
And to meet said appropriation by a transfer of said sum from certified free cash.
Passed/May 10th @ 6:17pm

Using free cash to support town budget, which goes against town policy. May 2023 monthly expenditure report, shows $117,483.78. This report was sent out June 12, 2023, so on June 28, 2023, selectmen and advisory met to transfer money from town reserve to highway and no one knew at that time how much money was in insurance and benefits and how much was needed to make final payment/ Again, we need a new accountant!

I think it should be obvious that Templeton needs a new accountant. She can't pass the exam to certify she meets the minimum requirements. And we pay to haul her up here from Florida? For what? She's not even competent, let alone excellent.

Well you all know that the chair of the Advisory Committee will approve this transfer with no hesitation. Hell he STOLE money from the taxpayers to pay his buddies at the valley view farm!!! By the way how has he not been brought before select board for his actions that he was found guilty by the state! Think its time to reach out the Attorney general with that hot mess.

    1. GC, Probably has something to do with WHO was the Chairman of BOS when Ethicc Commissioned ruled, or the fact that The Chair of BOS had the present Chair of Advisory as the President of his "Charity" The Friends of Templeton Veterans!
Kinda similar to the "Friends of Templeton Elders" who treasurer was VC of Select board under you guess it, the present chair of the Advisory Committee.

How's the Kitchen at Senior center been going for past 5-7 years???? Notice all the equipment the "Elders" paid for.............

Look at the interaction of " FOTV, LIONS, TROOP 27" ask yourself if this is charity or public funding in disguise.............
