In closing, remember, you voted for this without many questions. Town government cost increased by nearly one million dollars and school followed; Town Meeting should use their power and vote no on such town increases, if you truly do not want them. Last year, people wanted an override, this year they did not, I only wish they would have said no at Town Meeting!
I believe $795,000 is for the Elementary Schools Debt Exclusion. People need to remember that we approved 47 million of which 24.8 million was to be the Towns share. We have bonded 12 million. So we technically have 12.8 left on the school to bond out next year and dont forget.........we added the POPO station for 2.45 million.
ReplyDeleteWe already have another 14.5 million in bonds to attain without any additional spending for school operating expenses or town expenses.
