  1. Here is the Town website listing for members of the Veterans advisory board:

Home › Boards & Committees › Veterans Advisory Board

    Board Members
    Name Title Michael Euvrard

I wonder how vigorously the BOS is looking for members. Are they aware? Seems as though Mr. Caplis should be able to talk to some of the town vets and get them to join, participate, or is that now counter to his private business?

  2. If you have google ...... search VA private consulting ... It’s a “ big “ business ... If the government wasn’t sending over men and women to fight and die for causes that are unclear or unwarranted then maybe there would less of a need for VA support be it public or private.
I mean look at Halliburton as an example. This is no different in fact it’s much better as an opportunity is there to help Veterans in need that in many cases because of LACK OF TAXES being paid by the TOP % of CORPORATIONS ( like Halliburton) and thereby shifting tax burden down to towns like Templeton NOT all needs are met in full.
I can just imagine the screams of “ not my taxes “ if say a proposal was made to increase the hours ( thereby pay ) of the VA outreach program in this little town.

  3. Thankyou Veterans for your service and as always help is available thru both state, and federal as well if one chooses thru a VA consultant.

  4. Actually, people of Templeton voted for increase in spending of taxes for Veterans, which the Town gets back 75% (which is tax money no matter how you play it) Now that spending has been reduced by selectmen in their budget development. It is not the business concept, it is the who and the how that looks sleazy to this veteran.

  5. There are lots of things that look sleazy to this taxpayer on all levels of government but as you know looks and actual breaking of the laws are well ... not the same.
Just constantly making unfounded accusations based on “ what appears to be “ in the public over and over and over well .... maybe that should be looked at as being unethical and sleazy.

    1. Excuse me, but I owe no level of trust to my government.

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

      John Adams

"In the beginning of change, the Patriot is a scarce man; brave, hated and

scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it

costs nothing to be a patriot"

  6. Guess what, if you do not become a veterans agent, do not become a selectmen and then there is no question (s) asked of ethics and then there is nothing to comment on, is there? Then there is no appearance of questionable, sleazy, etc. Have family working for the town, don't run for selectmen, don't hire family and there is no what if, appears to, etc., etc. Pretty simple.

  7. Barney ( if you are still there ) ,
As BOB M and Jeff Bennett post more and more I’m sure you will quickly learn sir that these men would gladly write their own rules to their “little” kingdom the way they like with no regards to what is currently law or regulation, or what the general population votes passes by majority because well - like blownot88 “ they already know !” .
Dispite the fact that Mr Bennett was on the BOS ( not sure how that turned out?.. google BOS templeton 2012 .. and start there - grab your popcorn and Advil ).
BOBM well , he was just on the Capital Planning board and couldn’t speak up enough to perhaps find a cheaper and more versatile piece of equipment that can do Triple the job and save thousands of tax payers dollars ! ! But ! The town depts got together and found a solution.
Just like all Tea Party people like BobM , Jeff Bennett and perhaps blownot88 - the other I can only guess... are great at making suggestions and unfounded accusations and out right misrepresentations but once they have their chances they have no idea what to do or how to do it.

    1. Tea Party.................Adjust your meds pal.If you only had a clue...........You have no idea if I spoke or not at capital planning. No idea what if anything I said or didn't say.

You only try and belittle those trying to fix the issues that have kept this town dysfunctional.
You care not for rule of law, systems, just personalities. I'd suggest talking to Diane Haley brooks she's devoid of facts and deep on personalities also. I'm sure you can discuss much

    2. Oh, JUstsmartenuff..........Maybe you should be a little.....smarter.

The taxpayers saved absolutely 0 with this purchase. The taxpayers got ripped off. No professional groomer potentially eliminating park rental for adult softball leagues, which cuts down overall field, concession rentals costing taxpayers in the long run as the presentations went.
The taxpayer money in the amount of $15,000 was appropriated. They aren't getting it back. They also aren't getting what they were told, promised. Instead they got a $3200 groomer attachment, $3500 misappropriated towards a lawn mower and $8,300 pushed to free cash of which 50% becomes spendable by the administration under working capital.

So your best thinking got the town $6700 dollars worth of product for a cost of $15,000 and you call it a win. You actually praise this move. You also appear not to mind being lied too, it personally offends me. Maybe you are why Templeton has problems

  8. HEY Justsmartenuff since you seem to know so much about how town government works why don't you run for selectmen and help out your town. Maybe since you are so smart you could fix the problems in Templeton.

  10. Dear fellow bloggers ,
I write because I can just like TABMAN ( great name !! ) and BOB M ( he seems quite agitated ) and our Host - Mr Jeff Bennett.
Mr Bennett ( veteran who defends free speech ) I believe created this blog so that people could come here without being brow beaten to “ disclose your personal information to the administrator(s) of a blog about our little happy town .
BOB M “ you have no idea what I said “ .. how do you know this with such certainty BOB M ?
Clearly, BOB M aid agitated... and frustrated ( as witnesses on TCTV at the last BOS meeting ).

    1. Simply put. You are not a member of Capital Planning and we had no observers. You are not Cheryl, Eric, Doug of myself.

I am agitated at our Administration for lying to the voters. For spending taxpayer dollars in a different manner than presented to voters.
I'm agitated because people like you on this blog defend lousy government and those who promote it.

People like you promote, praise the Administration for lying, misrepresenting the voters and spending their tax dollars poorly then blame those who point out the failures.

People like you are the problem. Sheeple who just defend poor government action and stand for nothing!

  11. You seem confident in your knowledge ( sarcasm on ) of discussions in the Capital Planning sessions.
You also seem confident as to who is there and that I have no knowledge of that meeting and have eliminated who I could be. #PerryMasonBOBM
