It means that, since the $50,000,000 boondoggle is a Templeton project, overseen by the Selectmen, that State Law prohibits any Selectboard Member from serving on the TESBC.

  4. Should be interesting to watch new town counsel "opine' on this topic.

I thought the idea was to not add or make changes to the bylaws until the codification process was complete? So if these bylaw changes pass, and are approved by the AG's office, will the codification need to be revised?

Let's keep chasing our tail, it's a great math avoidance strategy...like getting a headache and going to the nurse when you have a math test.

  9. I thought of Bev when I read this. I hope she sees hope in this I do.
“Schools also would be required to offer courses in American history and civics that teach students about the structure of local, state and federal government, the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, state and federal electoral processes, as well as the "roles and responsibilities of a citizen in a democracy."

Lawmakers and education advocates say kids aren't learning enough about government.

"We believe this bill will fortify Massachusetts' civic education curriculum and set a foundation for the next generation of leaders," said Senate President Harriette Chandler, D-Worcester, one of the bill's primary sponsors, at a press briefing. The proposal goes before the Senate for a vote on Thursday.

    4. I’m addressing the ADA comments. Sorry if Amy confusion I am I support of civics lessons. I doubt if I asked a random sampling of people ( who should know ) rudimentary answers like how many senators / reps , never mind who or what is a committee or sub commitee I would get an don’t answer.

Our schools are wasteful and are primarily concerned with indoctrination of students to the ideas of Big Teachers Union. They're doing a terrible job, give them more money and all problems will go away.

Back to the subject at hand, it appears that the Selectmen have absolutely no idea what the laws are. And if you have the ever broken the law that you did not know about then you are guilty of breaking law whether you knew about it or not.
