from the Templeton personnel policy on the Town website:

B. Attendance - Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start the work day. Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule.

I wonder if that is meant to mean if the posted hours for an office is 7:30 A.M., people will actually be in those offices?

    1. a little off subject, but important ! As seen on Pauly'sTW, a tree hearing tomorrow morning ! 9:00AM Police Station driveway. 41 ash trees, 2 Maple, 3 cherry. 1 elm. I know you all read the Snooz, but a reminder anyway. Please let anyone you know that will be impacted by this issue know. Thanks Julie for keeping everyone up to speed.

do they have a foresters tagging the trees and does this require the conservation commission to also have a hearing as that amount of trees being cut will increase the amount of water to run off this area into the drainage from that area more problems for the houses down the road from this area. they should show up and ask questions before it is too late.

    1. From what I understand from talking with George the Conservation chairman, the Highway Dept. has a blanket permit to do work like replacing a drainage ditch, without going to the Conservation Commission at all. Has our Conservation Commission done it's due diligence in protecting the home owners on Dudley Road from further harm from water discharged into their back yards ? Absolutely not ! Want to take a walk ? I did ! Wear your boots and be agile enough to cross the two running brooks people are willing to ignore. Ironic isn't it when you think your Conservation Commission can pick and choose what they will protect and what they will ignore.

    2. Templeton is on a ridge, flat on the top, with water going two ways. One way is behind the library, from the Otter River Road behind the houses on 2A all the way down to the area behind the houses on Victoria Lane under R2A and behind Pauly's/ Partridgeville Road. I think to the best of my knowledge the water from Hubbardston Road, at least the part from Aldrich's to the Center goes toward 2A.. From South Road, (from the intersection of So. Rd. & Wellington), the water goes behind the houses on Wellington Road. Any Water from Starfire Ave. area runs behind the houses on Wellington Road also. Under these conditions we are going to put a school that fills the area between the two roads and the drainage is going where ? I have checked with my friend Steve Manty, our Road Boss in the seventies. I asked him when the pipe was put into place on George Barnes' land. He does not know. He said it was way before he worked for the town. Maybe in the 50's ? The more things change the more they stay the same. "You only get walked on if you lay down first". I think Confucius said that. My opinion, based on reality. Bev.
