 Small Town getting it right!!

Southwick Select Board backs crackdown on illegal roadside advertising signs
SOUTHWICK — Citing an unprecedented number of temporary private business signs along the town’s streets, Select Board Chair Doug Moglin said during the board’s meeting Monday he’s sending a formal letter to the building inspector to take action.
“There has been a mushrooming of temporary signs. They’re showing up everywhere,” Moglin said during the meeting.
The Southwick Select Board wants to crack down on temporary signs illegally placed on public property around town, like this lawn sign at the exit of the Town Hall parking lot.

  1. The Selectman in Templeton have had this issue before them for over 1 year and no action.

Wouldn't want to upset the businesses using public property illegally to advertise would we? Are they even legal businesses doing the advertising, who knows...........I would doubt it.

I doubt Templeton Light is giving these shady businesses permission to nail those ugly signs to utility poles around town. Or are they? Didn't they remove one candidate's signs from the vicinity of "their" poles a while back?

  3. Not to far back, Templeton light would remove certain candidates' signs from light poles or even a few posted in ground right next to light pole, while other candidates signs were left alone.
