Looking at the Templeton Town website and you may notice a few odd bits of information, if you can find them. First, selectmen seem to still be ignoring their own policies and procedures. The ones created and voted on by the Board of Selectmen and no one else! I hope everyone understands that, SELECTMEN policies and procedures that were created and voted on by the Selectmen and NO ONE ELSE. There is suppose to be a report from the Town Administrator at selectmen meetings. This is another item having been left off the agenda for quite a while. Which begs the question of why have written policies if no one is following them?
Second, under the swearing in and picture IDs for new appointments, it shows John Caplis as veterans service agent with term ending on June 30, 2018. Voted on June 29, 2017. Under Veterans Service Agent on Templeton web site, it shows a different Veteran Service agent, Jessica Butts. So, just who is the Templeton Veterans Service agent? If I am new to Templeton, just who in the hell am I suppose to call about Veterans services?
On a last note, if selectmen Brooks wants name calling to stop, perhaps she should call one of those amazing town employees, davey smart ,and tell him to stop putting the "liars club" on his blog! That would be a town employee calling the selectmen liars and I seem to remember another Town employee who had to apologize to the selectmen for calling them a name at a meeting. I have been told some selectmen wanted that employee fired. So lets see how the selectmen handle davey smart for calling them "the liars club" Remember, you have to let davey know who you are to comment on his blog, so he must control it and that makes him responsible, just as the selectmen are responsible for the actions of the town administrator. Smart has stated on more than one occasion that he controls that blog and only people who identify themselves may comment on his blog, so lets see how the selectmen handle that one. Again, if davey states negative comments will not be allowed, why does he not remove the liars club reference?

Personally I dont think most of the BOS has even read those Policies and Procedures. I was going to go through and post a couple of examples, but I decided to scrap the entire idea because the length of the comment was getting very large.

Stop playing Political games during Board of Selectman meetings!
One example:
"RELATIONS WITH CITIZENS:
1. Persons who will be directly affected by proposed Board discussions and/or action will be notified by the
Town Administrator and his/her designee of the date and timing at which the matter will be discussed or
acted upon by the Board."
Tell me how this procedure was followed in relation to you recent discussions about 4 citizens who made comments on a blog. The BOS unnecessarily decided to berate 4 citizens in multiple Open Meetings. The BOS made allegation of Harassment, threats, taunts in an Open Meeting against 4 citizens charging violations that can incur up to a $1,000 fine along with other penalties.
Did the Town Administrator notify any of these citizens, NO. Did any of these citizens have the opportunity to respond to these allegations in the Open meeting, NO.
Understand, the Board of Selectman is the Executive Administration of our Town. They Are the Towns voice. These are Official acts of an Executive Board outside their own policies and procedures in which they made serious claims against citizens they decided to group based on one individuals vague assumptions.
What positive purpose did this series of events bring about for the Taxpayer? Was it merely political retribution against those who speak out, point out and stand up against this type of government activity.
For the record, I, Julie Farrell, refer to the Board of Selectmen as the Liars Club on Pauly's Templeton Watch. I will continue to do so until I see some truth coming from that board.

Again, to be clear, it is NOT Dave Smart referring to the board of selectmen as LIARS - it is Julie Farrell. Because, in her OPINION, the board of selectmen lie on fairly regular basis.

Read through it a little you might find some stuff about the children at Sandy Hook not being murdered or the Boston bomber being innocent. Or 9/11 being a government set up killing 1000's of innocent Americans. Julie is not the person I want making decisions for the town! I call for her resignation right now! Maybe that's why she couldn't make it to candidates night....because she might get exposed.

Just for the record and JEFF. The above statement should clear up Jeffs obtuse blog above. He knows who does what as he use to be one of the three administrator of the real Templeton watch. That is before he had a loss of "common sense" and needed to be removed after discussion for the need.

Pauly’s Blog was created because important information about town operations were not being provided by a proper town website or by the local newspaper. The blog was necessary and exposed serious mismanagement in Templeton. It served a good purpose. Since then, the town has updated its website to modern day standards, however, has not designated the upkeep as someone’s job responsibilities. The way the website is set up, it gives the task of each department and committee to upload and maintain their content. But there is no one to oversee that each page is following the law and keeping content updated. If the town had a platform that informed its citizens of its operations as well as had a place where we could ask questions and/or express our concerns without ending up as the subject of a juvenile meme on social media, then there would be no need for any of these blogs. But until that materializes, I appreciate this blog and the information it provides. The town content on Pauly’s blog is also appreciated. What isn’t appreciated is the reposting of brietbart (REAL fake news) content and needless negative content. Until Pauly’s blog gets back to its roots, I’ll stick with this blog.
