Do the selectmen actually read things they sign and/or vote on? This is a serious question as I read the two open meeting law violation complaints the board of selectmen filed against the Advisory Committee.

On one complaint, selectmen write/state "Farrell, Bennett and Bartolomeo have had great exposure to the open meeting law. Given this and their lengthy public service, we consider their violation of the statute to be intentional. Given Mr. May's relatively short service, we do not believe his violation to be intentional."

On the second complaint, these same selectmen write/state "The BOS request the resignation of Farrell, Bennett, Bartolomeo and May for their gross negligence and intentional violation of the open meeting law. This recommendation is based off initial response of notification by selectmen Fortes of a complaint by three of the individuals with harassment, threats and intentional disregard of open meeting law and further dissemination of the material being discussed in violation of the open meeting law upon his blog site."

First, I find not such blog and secondly, which is there selectmen, intentional or not? Do you all know what that word means? Ya'll seemed to have strung a bunch or official sounding words together, but did ya'll read them before sending? The selectmen seem to put about as much thought into this subject as they did the FY2017 budget/spending plan.

Oh, selectmen, on your request for my resignation, the answer is NO, as in GTH.

  1. In my opinion, I think the "select" few are too busy time traveling to pay attention to the petty details
    you mention above.

Maybe they - the "select" few - intended to be deliberately obtuse.

Just in case you wanted to know about the real Julie Farrell and her husband here is a link to their own blog.

    http://templeton01436.blogspot.com/?m=1

    Just google search "Templeton Times"

Read through it a little you might find some stuff about the children at Sandy Hook not being murdered or the Boston bomber being innocent. Or 9/11 being a government set up killing 1000's of innocent Americans. It's sickening and offensive to read what is written on her family blog. Julie is not the person I want making decisions for the town! I call for her resignation right now! Maybe that's why she couldn't make it to candidates night....because she might get exposed.

I hope you really look at the 3rd blog! It's coming from her living room. I think The Gardner News would find the 3rd blog interesting:

You are very entertaining. If you don't like my husband's blog, don't read it. He moderates it himself. I have nothing to do with it.

Good luck with figuring out the real Julie Farrell.

I will seriously consider a call for my resignation from Anonymous - NOT!

Have a great day and you might want to consider staying out of the sun.

BTW - my husband appreciates the way you publicize his blog. Keep up the good work!

    2. Julie must have hit a nerve with someone. Here come the personal attacks.

This is the response one gives when they have no facts to justify their behavior.

Anon 8:39 Thank you for you astute observations in regards to Templeton Times Blogspot 01436. I had no idea such a blog existed in the Town of Templeton. The Gardner News probably is already aware these blogs exist as the only reason most people buy that rag (The Gardner News) is because of the Obits. The Gardner News is such a rag Alberta should be ashamed to publish such bias news in favor of the very rich in neglect of the Middle Class. Templeton Times Blogspot 01436 right on cue have published more crazy talk with their latest take on Boston Marathon Bombing here is the link to this trash. BostonMarathonBombing

Told you! It's embarrassing that Julie Farrell's household promotes those insane views with a "Templeton" tag associated with it. When searching for information about Templeton online people are funneled right into Julie and her husband's garbage. People and businesses must turned off immediately.

People need to know her family is behind that blog. And don't let her tell she doesn't share the same beliefs her husband does. They both wear tin foil hats.

  3. From my point of view the OML complaints filed by the BOS show exactly why Templeton has the issues it does.

The BOS got their feelings hurt when pushed to follow their own guidelines. They lashed out against the offending parties with reckless abandon. It doesn't appear they had any desire to follow the processes set up under our Towns Policies and Procedures (Ironic) nor under the AG guidelines for Open Meetings. They show a complete disregard for timelines, processes/methods from the first through the last steps they take.
This entire process is a political event perpetrated to cover the failings of our BOS by casting aspersions on the individuals who regularly call them on their lack of procedure.
The fact that the actual filing of these didn't take place until after The Gardner News printed articles saying they ALREADY filed. Maybe thats why Christine Smith of the Gardner News was CC in the emails. We all now thats part of the process as outlined, correct?

Until Taxpayers in Templeton get sick of the Executive Administration wasting government time to protect their hurt feelings, poor performance and complete lack of ability to follow Procedure nothing will change.

These are my Opinions. I will not resign. I will not go away. I will not be silenced. I will be watching...............

    1. Count me in, I am not going to go anywhere either. I will stay as long as our Town leaders do not take the financial mess this town is in seriously, and work to make our government live within in our means. It is what it is ! Until the BOS understands the Town does not generate the amount of revenue that is needed for all the little extras that are frills, in my opinion, and under minds the way the budget is setup and presented, I will stay. I will work for the people in our town, all of the people. That is what I have always done and will continue to do. I will quit when pigs fly. Bev.

    3. In your dreams ! Maybe it is too much fluoride in your water ! It is terrible when people suffer from delusions. A lot like telling people the school and police station will cost 1.74, and the police station would be off in two years !! Bait and switch ! Open and transparent government ! Not ! !

They (being town departments and select board) do what they can until people like you and Julie get in the way delay everyting! If the vote to rescind the school project wasn't on the may town meeting warrant both projects would be underway and the police station would be off the tax payers wallet. Now not so much. Thanks guys!

    6. Oh Anon 9:25 pm

So wrong in so many ways!

Bev and I did not tie the Police Station project to the elementary school project. Those were separate votes on town meeting floor and on the ballot. The decision to combine these projects did not come from Bev nor I.

Bev and I did not put the elementary school vote before the voters when the town did not have a bond rating - the selectmen did.

The town can't borrow money from the state (MFOB) because the town is carrying too much debt. It would be illegal for the MFOB - as in it would be against the LAW - for the state to sanction and cover the school debt.

The $5 M short term borrowing ( due December 1, 2017) is a first step to restarting the school project. Not much will happen on that front until the town goes out to borrow the remaining $20 Million as authorized by town meeting vote.

The stalling of the school project is monetary, as in the town needs to get its financial act together. The 31 page financial management letter was a start. The meeting with the DOR laid out the course of action needed to get the town back to the point where it can borrow the $20 million.

The course of actions must be undertaken by the "select" few to borrow the money. The "select" few are the ones who need to create AND implement the policies and procedures detailed in the financial management letter.

The school project was stalled way before town meeting in May. It remains in limbo until the town can borrow $20 MILLION dollars. End of story.

A better question might be "When are the "select " few going to meet to get the policies and procedures in place so that the town can borrow $20 Million?"

At their last meeting, the public was informed that there will be no working meetings for July and August. That leaves 3 months for the "select" few to create AND implement ( as in demonstrate) that these policies and procedures are working. That accounts are being reconciled. BTW -That short-term BAN ($5 million) is due December 1, 2017.

      You are welcome!

Thanks for clearing that up Julie.

But another question for you, what are your thoughts on Sandy Hook and the Boston Marathon bombing? I would imagine you and your husband have conversations about this. What do you think?

    8. Julie is right about why the school project and the police station are stuck in limbo. In my way of looking at this disaster, the school should not have been put on the ballot in the first place, considering the financial state the town is in. One of the big problems is the disconnect between the School Building Committee and the reality of the town's fiscal health. When the town gets a bond rating, how that looks may be the straw that will break the backs of many of the people in this town. The increase in the tax rate for these projects alone may be crushing. I hope I am wrong, but if I am not, the foreclosures will increase, and we may end up with a big building with no one in it. I have heard a rumor that some think a house will be bought to be taken down to provide parking for the people who work at the school. Just where do these people think this money will come from ?? It will come out in the wash, but it will not come out clean. Bev.
