Fix and done deal.
The counsel needed but 30 seconds to respond to the Select boards request at the meeting to tell the voters no discussion would happen to #8 as it was an illegal article. He's a "Super" lawyerBut clearly had done some home work " for pay i'll add" and was to QUICK to tell us about the law.
The issue was about the counsel doing any work on a citizens petition.
We are tight on money and to spend it this way shows the how the members and TA will go around and do what they want to suit the needs of their wants.

Secondly, legal bills are NOT personnel files. Secondly, school employees are covered under a completely separate legal entity and have completely separate labor contracts. Light & Water have separate labor contracts.
Last i knew the town eats from the same plate.
1-We pay for school costs.
2-we pay for light expenses
3- We pay for water expenses
Secondly?
I sometimes wonder how Jeff thinks,or over thinks issues he writes about.
The uniforms are so the workers all look professional.
Unlike the fleet we use day in and day or night out.
The paid boots are so when we ruin them in the salt/muck,we don't have to purchase again and  again
"The paid boots are so when we ruin them in the salt/muck, we don't have to purchase them again and again." Who is the we Davey? You, as an employee? The taxpayer? Who is the "we"?

Jeffy if you can't figure the we out that points out the reason this town is in the shape we are. Ask a simple one Jeffy if we are the ones that ruin them getting into the salty/muck i guess the we would be us workers not needing to pay for them.DUR!

I believe the above shows what part of the problem is, it is still about me rather than the whole. What can I get? No one can blame anyone for trying to get all they can but when you work for a corporation, where everyone is a shareholder, should that dictate tate that everyone should give a little so the WHOLE town (corporation) stays afloat? One acknowledges that the corporation is tight on money but still want everything "because we work for the town." I do not want to pay for my boots, I want someone else to pay for them. That seems to me to be that old "not in my back yard" thing that often comes up when the subject of bringing in business to town. Do it, just do not put anything near my home. Free boots may not seem like much, but consider the cost times the number of employees and what the total cost is or can be. Then consider that another department, inspection services, is asking for a transfer of between $2500.00 and $7500.00 dollars (depending on which document you look at) and consider if it was not for the contractual obligation that Mr. Smart asked for, was not on the table, would there be a need for this transfer? When you are tight on money, the extras put a burden on everyone! So, one gets some extras while another suffers. So much for looking out for the whole town. Maybe it is the fault of the Templeton municipal light & water department?
Templeton needs to stop looking for handouts from every direction, because this dependence has shown that when the "fix" is removed, someone is left holding the bag.

If one wants to be paid well and get lots of benefits then go work for a private profitable company. You work for a town, a poor town that needs a new school. You want to look professional - lots of people look professional in their jobs and they don't get clothing allowances or have someone pay their laundry cost. and yes we ruin our clothes and shoes/boots in the environments we work in.

  2. Easy for anonymous to spew!
Is that you Jeffy thinking anyone comes here.Other than Bev.
If the economy gets in gear and the value of the employee grows why stay?
For the workers to just now in 2017 break the 20.00 mark it's sort of sad when you think about it. That's after 3 years and a stack of licenses.
If not for the past selectmen issues and problems like the old jeff boards,we may be out of the poverty zone. 1:42 WE?
I sometimes wonder how Jeff thinks,or over thinks issues he writes about.
Jeff should be able to figure out the funds collected come from the permits and deposited to the general fund. As a Advisory board member that much should be clear.
So to recap is Jeffy looking in a mirror to see himself type the boot stuff.
Maybe he should put a wage and benefit package that he would give a a ceo and see how many employees he needs to replace.
If his plow truck needed a driver would he only offer minimum wage?
Owe that's right he is his own plow driver and with the wage per hour the state pays out he can afford to shit on the towns highway workers.
When the contract negotiation happens it's just that and over the years Jeff doesn't understand the term as a two sided thing. To say the towns arms have been twisted is a bit of a stretch if one was to think that like Jeffy does.
To have a stack of licenses and ability it's what the town requires from the highway workers. At least we now have a select board who respects what the highway workers do. I think over time we will get a few more members on Advisory who look at the big picture and not stuck on the pennies like some are now.
Jeff looks at the vision he can understand why is the question he should ask himself. Add up the 12 mailings and the paper clips and the difference will be one advisory member stuck wasting valuable time while everyone falls asleep. How many times can someone say the same thing over and over again and again?

I think we are dealing with a person here out of control who for whatever reason can't understand what a employee really is.
    So to Anonymous 1:42
If your not Jeffy that is why hide?
Most who do the anon thing have to hide.
I feel sorry for you without benefits, free boots, and pay, ruined clothes.
But i pay my way and taxes in Templeton. I pay, pay, pay.
I register all my vehicles in Mass Too.
If this town make the right decisions money wouldn't be the issue now.
Leadership is the problem with this town. Mostly the past ones are to blame.
But a few of them QUIT,thankfully

Not like the former Spewer in chief Jeffy!

  6. Enough !! Every one is entitled to their own opinions ! Beating up on each other is not going to make anything better. I have tried to stay out of this. Please stop. We have bigger problems to solve. Let's get our Town's finances straightened out for once and for all. We are allowing our departments to be shredded, even the ones that work well. We, all of us, have a lot of work to do, Bev.

Stay in the background so the "we" don't know who they are, anonymous.
That is if you mean others.
They may want for you to speak for them but it's very doubtful!
