I believe the next Templeton fire chief will come from Ashburnham.
One of the first items he may have to deal with is:
Templeton fire/ems: Department of O.E.M.S will be in Templeton on 9/6/16, Tuesday to inspect the ambulances and record keeping for our license to operate the medical services. we hired one more per-diem medic, this brings us to a total of 8. We lost one due to an O.E.M.S. violation issue. This still leaves holes in our coverage and we need to put one full-time medic and one full-time basic. we have received one written warning back in July and with this up coming inspection, we may receive another one for these deficiencies.
I believe this has been made clear many times in the past, if Templeton wants to be in the ambulance business, you have to be ready with the cash to pay for it. The ambulance receipts account will not cover the costs of employees such as salary, and benefits such as health insurance and retirement.

If the "Superior Department" has it's way, no one will be able to stay long enough to retire. Ray got the all American bums rush, that for all I have learned he did not deserve. How is any other Fire Chief going to be treated any better ??
ReplyDeleteI think this we have invested enough in this venture to not loose it because of poor management. The reality of the Town needing more money to keep it running should not be lost to anyone. There has to be money doing this, otherwise why would you Woods Ambulance have people sitting at Cumberland's and up at the town line, just waiting for a call ? We have invested time and money to get this started, so do we gain or loose by doing it ourselves ? That is the real question that has to be answered. If it cannot support its self, then we have a problem.. I know that if someone I love needs help, I would rather get someone from Templeton Center to come, rather than wait for Woods to come from Gardner.
