Beginning Monday, July 30, 2018, the new hours for the Selectmen's Office are Monday-Thursday from 7;30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The other Town Hall offices (except Veterans Services) will remain on their current hours Monday 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m

  1. How interesting. Down to 36 hours or is it a 5%=+ raise? Any more information regarding the change.
This smells a little especially since Mr. Caplis specifically pointed to staff in BOS as underpaid by $5-$8.00.

    1. So does that mean you have to leave work early if you work out of town and have business at Town Hall ? How can 36 hours even come close to a"full time job" ? Only in Templeton !

    2. Another thought. What meeting was the decision to reduce the hours Town Hall is to be open, made ? When the office people get a seems vacation, how many hours is it going to be based on ? Remember, this is your government working for who ? Seems to. Be more questions than answers !

  4. Yes, just as i suspected, after quietly watching JUSTSMARTENUFF ramble on in the comments sections he has proven the type he really is, a useless keyboard warrior who is a prime example of what is wrong in this town and country. He is OK with officials doing as they damn well please, going against what their very own town voters voted for, making their own rules, etc.
It is really sad these officials can do these wrongs with no repercussions, and people like the idiot JUSTSMARTENUFF praise them to high heaven.

    2. Maybe it is out no show Selectman ? If you voted for this person call her and tell her to do her job ! Was her job to run just so she could keep Jeff out ?

  5. Why don’t you take a poll and ask if people in town like saving $7,000 on a peice or equipment ? Both the company who sold it and those who will be using it and a man with 30 years experience said it’s versatile machine that does not only what was “ voted on by the people “ but much more for again a savings of $7,000. This taxpayer approves.
As to Mr Bennett’s failed attempt at regaining power he once had ( please review 2012 the information is available on a simple search I did thanks to justsmartenuffs comments here ) he lost with a resounding no confidence by the voters ( the ones you want people like Justsmartenuff to follow ) .

    1. Please explains how the taxpayer saved 1 dime? The appropriation wasn't lowered. Templeton just was taxed $15,000 for a $3200.00 attachment. $3300 was misappropriated to buy a lawnmower that is NOT going to be used for the Groomer. $7,000 goes to free cash broken out to a 50% working capital, and the balance to Cap Ex, Stabilization and Opeb.

How did Carter buy the lawnmower without using the $10,000 from Article 30?

So you are fine with bypassing the will of the appointed, hired and elected officials along with town meeting to go with salesman and "the people who will use it".....who is that, cause it was presented as a 975hr savings to highways man hours, but recreation volunteers actually did it.

Scotts happy we have more than we did, period. Anything is better than the home made dragger they were using.

    2. Again, We did not get a "bonus". Carter used the $15,000 for the infield groomer and the $8500 for the lawnmower and purchased an $12,000+ lawnmower and a $3200. groomer then used $1,000 to retrofit the groomer to an old tractor.

Carter spent $3500+ more than approved ( and appropriated for something else) on a lawnmower and he took the balance from the groomer and downgraded it and you praise him...........

    3. Dear MetaData,
Witness above “ yet you praise him “ .. BOB M knows all ( except how to save money ). So, as I have said BoBM and his comrades will belittle you, and make you feel like you have no idea of what you watched or read. Sounds like BOBM’s political hero. #FAKENEWSBOBM

    4. Mirror time for you.............Saving money is not just spending less. It's spending less for the item you need.
We could have saved more by getting the Rec department rakes, would you approve? The meet the same criteria as this purchase.

    5. Metadata - "power I once had" was unaware I ever had any power. As for the most recent election results, did way better than I thought / did not expect to win and really, by running for the office, an incumbent did not just "walk" back into office.

  6. Dear MetaData,
I hate to tell you the same thing I have told others who have attempted to go against the “thought process” of BOBM and his comrades. They will belittle, name call, make references to articles no one knows the source of or are just plain outdated, ask you to provide links and data to refute their unfounded “ ideas “ or even ask you to research and provide them with information that is readily available on line or even at the local town offices.
But , again BOB M and his comrades are great at stirring the pot and wasting time, money and electricity.
Best of luck to you MetaData
