Athol Daily News is still a good paper. I wonder where Templeton stands regarding inventory of Capitol equipment?

Matt, we do not have a complete inventory. Ive been asking for one since 2017.

We are not surplusing, auctioning or selling our replaced inventory either.

In 2019 we bought a new fire truck to replace the 20 yr old(end of useful life) 1999 engine. Guess what, that engine is still in m our inventory and Chief Dickie just sent it off for major service.

This is why I rescinded my application to Capital Improvement Committee. ITS A JOKE!

      It's not Matt, it's Mark.

Capital equipment must all be inventoried. In the private sector, that would be a finance group that would keep the inventory. Every year, they need to go and confer with the departments to keep the list updated. You don't even have to hire someone. Give the task to the Treasurer. If that staff spent 1 hour less per week cruising the web I bet they could do a bang up job!

      FYI
The 2019 engine that was purchased, replaced a engine that was 80s vintage, thanks Dave L
