 Tired of water main breaks, tired of bad roads, tired of no sidewalks, tired of water coming onto your property? Look to Templeton town administrator who wants more discretionary money while putting less money into stabilization funds designed to help pay for drainage, sidewalks, upkeep of town builds (that you own) replacement of town vehicles and water main replacement. The town administrator first choice is to have more money to fund his projects and less money to serve the people, as in the residents. Selectman Richard wants citizen input at selectmen meetings to move to the end of the meetings rather than the first part of meetings. Thes things demonstrate where the priorities of your representatives are, them first and you last. The only real way we residents have to counter this action is to go to town meeting and deny these financial requests. Town meeting does not have to vote in favor of one item on warrant of a town meeting. Town meeting can vote to pass over any item, including a town budget and tell selectmen to bring back a better one. It is the only way to hold them accountable for all of their actions or lack thereof. You must attend town meeting to have a say!

  1. Just as one example illustrated by the Fire last Weekend. The below was copied from the 2020 report prepared from CGR.org for the phillipston/Templeton fire combo report.

    ISO = Insurance Service Organization

    notice the "testing the water system" which would lower citizen insurance rates...

    TFD could potentially improve their ISO PPC rating by improving the testing of
    their water system, tracking their training and implementing a fire prevention
    program. An improved PPC rating would potentially lower fire insurance rates
    for residents and commercial properties. An improved PPC rating would

  2. I actually agreed with Ms. Richards for a minute when she mentioned "Code of Conduct" then I realized its just more wasted paper. As Ms. Richards is aware. The Selectboard/Administration do not follow policy, do not follow bylaws, do not comply with MGL, do not comply with OML, and surely wont even read a "code of conduct".

    Not for nothing, but just how many times have you heard the selectboard institute some sort of "tracking system" so things dont get lost or left to linger.. How's that workin out?

    We have housing issues. How long ago did we put $17,500 aside to create a trust to place the 10% of CPA required to be set aside for housing. Now this money is going to be withdrawn by CPC because the Administration thru the Selectboard did nothing!
    Do you know how much CPA money has gone towards housing since its inception in 2007. You should ask..........the answer might surprise you.

    You might want to ask why our Capital Improvements dont include water, sewer, electrical infrastructure. No roads, no drainage.............

    My answer for you............it's because we have " NO PLAN"

    Suggestion. Rather than industrial zoning by itself as a weapon to stop development like it's now being proposed. Why not do like those "other" communities we talk about and design and build an industrial park. Or EDIC could do that with planning board, etc and actually do something that says, look, we are ready for business.

  3. With the present funding method the Infrastructure Stabilization Fund will be funded with at the same percentage of free cash as Capital Stabilization.

    Is a total of $140,000 proportioned to Stabilization Accounts enough based off a $10,500,000 budget? Or do you think 1.333% is a sufficient portion of revenue as safety measure.

    What about next year when we dont have any free cash and we are using our GF stabilization account at a rate than we filling it.............enjoy.

    I cannot support this government, period.
