Hubbardston, MA fiscal year dispatch costs, Hubbardston is in regional dispatch service with Rutland. FY24 budget for dispatch $125,000.00. Why would Templeton not want to go same route and reduce dispatch costs as well as health insurance, retirement and OPEB costs to town? 125 thousand is about same cost of one full time dispatcher (probably a bit less)
Looking at the FY 24 Budget Book is shows 4 dispatchers at $49,130 per year, plus $33,664 in per diem costs. Their is another $250, 000 or so in Police/Dispatch Vacation, sick time, open shifts.
ReplyDeleteGoing to a regional would also open up space in our present station for future use while potentially cutting the cost to taxpayer by hundreds of thousands of dollars as nothing here talks about healthcare coverage, retirements, etc........
If one looks at the FY 24 Templeton Budget Book, it shows 4 dispatchers at $49,130 per year, one dispatcher at $47,726.00 plus $23,266.00 in per diem costs for dispatch. (FY24 budget book page 51 of the paper copy and page 78 of the electronic version)
