Another hour, another email.
Good day, just so all is clear, a Town bylaw on council on the aging and I do not wish to waste anyone's time, but, bylaw states
The Council shall consist of five members, who shall serve without pay. Potential Council members shall be nominated by a majority vote of the existing members of the Council, and no member so nominated for Council membership is to serve on the Council until appointed by the Select Board. Such persons shall be appointed on a rotating basis, each for a three-year term. There shall be at least a one-year hiatus prior to re-appointment after the second full term is served.
If there is not a majority or a quorum on the council of aging, how is this bylaw to be followed? Town website currently shows 4 seats open n council of aging, so ya'll appointed people to council on aging without a majority, which means you selectmen violated another town bylaw. This is a bylaw that certainly needs adjustment. This would be strike 2 in bylaw violations. I believe you also did not follow selectmen policy on procedures regarding public hearing last night on culvert. First glance the placement of that item on agenda seems to be out of place, probably should have been first up so as to follow your operating procedures policy.
regards,
Jeff Bennett
Just maybe any person running for the Board of Selectman should be required to pass a test first on the Town of Templeton By laws. If they don't pass, the person can't run. It doesn't seem like the board members bother to put any effort at all into educating themselves, so it would mean if they passed the test, the public could feel the people in charge of their government actually knew what they were doing for a change.
ReplyDeleteHow can the board of selectmen be expected to follow policy if the town administrator who is given a rating of pretty much find a new job by his board of selectmen, but then told you doing a great job keep up the good work by the now dethroned Toth that just threw him under the bus??? I fear Templeton is on the same path as the titanic. They were warned when they built that ship there was not enough lifeboats well Templeton you’re out of lifeboats and there’s an iceberg dead ahead. We all know how that story ended. Re-educate the board get rid of that trash TA and his assistant to the assistant TA. Someone please hit the reset button before it’s too late.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the Templeton official website, Tim Toth is both Chair and Vice Chair of Selectmen. Those are some hard workers we employ in that town office. Really don't give a half a shit, do they. Sloppy work, but they're the greatest!
DeleteTwo Toths and No Currie...............Is that better or worse...........? It's a more palatable and probably kinder on the ears to.........less "splanin from Mikey"
