Templeton Ma has Otter River state forest and much other state land, we have the Fernald school or what ever title it now holds, we have the city of Garnder waste water treatment plant in Templeton as well as Gardner airport. Templeton should go after state and city money to help defer costs of fire and police protection service. Who after all is going to be responding to these places for fire or lawbreakers? These are all within the boundaries of Templeton. Since we have 3 federal postal facilities, perhaps we try for federal money, don't get if you do not ask.
Gardner Airport- 312 Acres, 3000 feet x 100 ft paved runway and return, 10 builings including a brand new 50 x 150 structure with required paving of 3/4 of acre.
ReplyDeleteLets not forget Dobler Hill. Thats what draws all the larger passenger planes over this area.
GWWTP is multiple site of just over 100 acres, again around 10 buildings with overflow into the Otter River.
Otter River State Park- Town map/GIS has no listing of land area, buildings or value.
Templeton Developement Center (???)- Town GIS Mapping has no listing of land area. Building Values of $9,631,300.
The post offices are rented buildings as far as I can see, but the Railroad tracks both present and future should benefit templeton directly.
How much are we getting in $$$$ for these places within the boarders and are they paying anything close to what You are?
Gardner's gravel mine is also in Templeton.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I meant to say that the sandpit abutting GWWTP is included in the 100 acres figure......
