Parliamentary Inquiry ~ Does the Templeton Selectboard follow Roberts Rules of Order
I do not believe so, but an email to the chairman may answer that question. The selectmen do have BOS policies and procedures policy that was/is intended to guide selectmen on their meetings.
John Caplis email: selectmen.caplis@templeton1.org
This is what is listed under BOS Policies on the Town website.
ReplyDeleteMEETING PROCEDURES:
Meetings are to be conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of parliamentary procedure for small groups or
boards, and the Open Meeting Law. It is the practice that application of such procedure be on a relatively informal
basis, due to size of the group and the desirability of flexibility in the expression of opinion. Remembering that any
one has a right to attend a public meeting, they do not have a right to speak unless recognized by the Chairman.
Hope it helps...........It appears these policies were posted on 3/4/14
Thankyou again for your assistance.

1800MrPlow,
ReplyDeleteYour welcome,
Am I reading that correctly? If I am ,it seems the majority and minority reports, especially when over 1/3 of the members decent, are of equal importance.
Indeed I read and understand that to be the case as well.
