At Work
Employees
Massachusetts employers with six or more employees are prohibited from discriminating against employees based on race, color, religious creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender identity, age, criminal record (inquiries only), handicap (disability), mental illness, retaliation, sexual harassment, sexual orientation, active military personnel, and genetics. In addition, employers have an affirmative responsibility to provide parental leave to biological and adoptive parents.
Retaliation, such as when selectmen Brooks stated "I want Bennett included because he called us (selectmen) names in a very sly way" Brooks wants my resignation because I utilized my right to free speech, so perhaps she should re read the material handed out at the MCAD training held in Templeton Town Hall.
Overview
All people in Massachusetts are protected against unlawful discrimination by federal and state laws. If you believe you have been discriminated against, you may file a complaint with the MCAD by following the instructions below. Once you file a complaint, you will meet with an MCAD Intake Officer to determine if the agency can investigate your case. If the MCAD can accept the complaint, the Commission will launch an investigation in order to make a determination whether there is probable cause that unlawful discrimination occurred.
Filing Deadline
In all but a few cases, the MCAD has a 300-day statutory filing deadline. This means that you only have 300 days from the last discriminatory act to file a claim with the MCAD. Cases involving applying to schools only have a six month statutory filing deadline.
Should I File a Complaint?
If you are unsure if you experienced unlawful discrimination, come in and meet with a staff person who will discuss this with you and help you decide whether or not to file. If you ultimately decide to file a complaint, one of our intake worker will explain to you what kind of evidence you will need to prove that discrimination occurred.
Persons with a disability who are unable to file a complaint in person may contact any of our offices to make alternative filing arrangement.

The MCAD website makes for interesting reading and the service is available to anyone without a fee.
ReplyDeleteWell, it does look like this article applies: Read the latest name calling by the Towns newest Selectman.

Honored to be called Joseph Stalin by my favorite committee of sleuths, felons, crybabies, and nutcases. Wonderful group of people 😂😂😂
How much is he going to cost Templeton Taxpayers with his behavior.
Joseph Stalin? Felons?
ReplyDeleteSounds like this guy is confused !
DeleteI cannot hold my tongue on this issue any longer. I’ve been reading this stuff for weeks since the selectmen pointed it out. You look like a bunch of damn fools. The article only applies for Municipal employees not special municipal employees. Maybe if Joe Jamail over there visited Ethics Commission website on special municipal employees before wailing about his veteran defense like a sad sack using his veteran status to defend his own pathetic actions. He would've realized that special municipal employees aren't entitled to the labor rights that actual municipal employees are. You guys sure are sure putting the special in special municipal employees alright.
ReplyDeleteSeems like the Kid Selectman did his homework because from what I heard about the ever so loud-mouthed, door slamming, self-proclaimed legal and ethics expert Robert May or Bob M as the blogs know him the jackass burned his own house down like a crazy loony. Something about dowsing his house in kerosene and lighting with a timed model rocket explosive? Pre-meditated and intentional destruction of his own home, WOW, that’s beyond mentally unstable that’s psycho behavior. Only makes sense he was convicted by a jury of his own peers and sentenced to jail. This is the guy the advisory committee stands behind 100%, this is the guy that loves getting all fired up at town hall meetings and posting angry blog letters. When is he going to snap and burn down the selectmen’s houses? Come on, please tell you me you none of you knew this before you started eating up his rants and raves on the blog and causing trouble at town hall meetings? I would hope not because this is not a guy to associate with and slap high fives when you “Stick it” to the selectmen for not filing a paper or posting meeting minutes incorrectly. To top it all off his extensive financial knowledge, he got out of jail and attempted to sue his insurance company for not paying out the fire damage monies. HE BURNED HIS OWN HOUSE DOWN AND ATTEMPTED TO SUE HIS INSURANCE COMPANY?!?!? That is ethical alright. This is the man we want leading the charge against the selectmen for not following procedure? The guy who called out Selectmen Fortes for filing a piece of paper late? Excuse me, hold the phones but let’s back that up. HE BURNED HIS OWN HOUSE DOWN? SUED HIS INSURANCE COMPANY? Isn’t that fraud? Isn’t that the epitome of not being ethical or perhaps just being a violent felon incorporates that this man’s opinions aren’t very sound.
Now let’s watch Bobby blow his top like usual because he has already proven his is mentally unstable when he burned his house down why not keep the streak going. He has been awfully quiet since someone questioned the felons.
If you guys want the documents to show Firebombing Bobby is a convicted felon Worcester Superior Court has them on deck.
OK Cam. You used the word "felons", plural, when you referred to the members of your "favorite committee." Put up or shut up, Mr. Highly Educated Man.
ReplyDeleteI would of thought Cameron at first as well, but this is written too eloquently.

ReplyDeleteLOL................Yup, In 2000 my home burned down prior to my divorce being finalized. I retained both the house and my child in the divorce. I was convicted on Joint Venture Arson. I was not charged with physically setting my house on fire. Nobody was ever even charged of actually burning my house. Read it yourself at the Worcester Superior Court.
So yes, with totally circumstantial financial evidence (see they didn't like that I quit my job to stay home with my son as his mom had before she left) and an Insurance company paying $34,000 to investigate me, a divorcing single father whose house burned down I was found guilty. I spent another $52,000 on an appeal and custody arrangements for my son. I ended up being sentenced to 3-5 years. In 3 years I was offered parole. I was told I wouldn't get it without admitting guilt. I wanted to get out and be with my son more than you know, but I didn't and will never admit to something I didn't do, period.
Oh I sued the insurance company after I got out because they had bought my mortgage, not paid it off as required my law. This tied up the land the house was on.The land was worth $15,000 the mortgage was $140,000. I couldn't sell the land. The insurance company wouldn't foreclose and the city was not getting but kept assessing taxes I was forced to sue to force them to take the land. Then they sued me for $34,000 to cover the investigation they did to not pay me, interesting right.
I was given parole anyways, look it up.
Now it obviously not as good of a story as "firebombing Bobby", but as with most thing the truth isn't as it requires facts, not sensationalism.
This incident alone is one of the main reasons I'm such a stickler for RULES, Regulations. See, when government officials don't follow rules, peoples lives get wrecked.
You are by all means free to believe whatever you wish. I truly do not care. I do care about you spreading misinformation which is why I responded.
Like I explained to David weeks ago. I know who I am. I know what I stand for. I am not ashamed because you feel I should be. I will continue to be that person and you, well, who cares about anonymous you.
Enjoy your day,
Maybe the town (BOS) should be smart enough to run CORY checks on an all appointees then we would also need a new Conservation Committee Chairman. Isn't that right George Andrews?
