So, the board of selectmen (current) have been solving issues, according to liar johnny columbus but they are still using one time funds to support their latest spending plan along with a transfer from the ambulance receipts fund to the general fund, sound familiar?
So if the revenue numbers are correct, why do they need to use one time revenue to fund their plan?

A little confusion from Advisory Committee member Kate Fulton, who stated it was up to the moderator to decide if the spending plan is looked at line by line; she was corrected that it is town meeting, as in the people in attendance who decide that!

So what have these guys fixed ? I think Caplis and Columbus are suffering from delusions.
ReplyDeleteHow does spending more money than they have in their budget fix anything ? Will there be enough money to be scraped up, to fix their boo boos at the ATM ? It was Mr. Columbus that was the chairman of the BOS that handed us the mess of a budget that town departments have been trying to live with all this fiscal year. As far as I can see, this board will be much better off when JC is gone.
DeleteSo the message is not to be so negative ? Well after seeing this town do the same things over and over, to get the same results, I hate to break it to our accountant, It is the same sh--, only different day. I have been to the same game, with the same results, so what does she think is any different. The message to her and everyone else is unless we find a funding source that we can depend on, there is not enough money coming in to cover all of our expenses. That is the honest truth ! What I was getting at was something our treasurer did not want to hear. I honestly do not believe there is the revenue to run town hall on a full time basis. Cutting back, including town hall is more fair than some of the plans that have been presented to the town. This does on devastate the Senior Center, even though they will have to be cut also. The fact that Mr.Morrisson has conflicts all over the place, does not help the situation at all. So like it or not, it is what it is ! To inflate the revenue does nothing but prolong the position the town is in, not a good one. We will not get a decent bond rating unless we have some money in stabilization and we need some free cash. So the question is the same one, why spend every cent we think we will get, depending on what numbers they choose to use ? Unless these questions are answered, we will be broke again within two years. So, we will see who is right. I am not negative, I am just being honest. Bev.
DeleteBoy Dave, you have lowered yourself to Zero-Zilch-Nada credibility, You should really stop talking
ReplyDeleteI agree with ANON #1 . Dave S you are killing your credibility and do not know what and who on Advisory wants access to Vadar and why. You need to go back and watch their meetings like i did and find out the facts.
ReplyDeleteSo who does what ?
ReplyDeleteOne would think after 101 years + that would be known and spending money with a lawyer would be the last thing he would waist our money on. No advisory on this matter was given and why would it.
Or we can spend it on a settlement or two for JEFFY
So why does Jeffy stick up for the management over there and why did he just let the PILOT go away without a fight. Make one wonder what he is doing on advisory and wanting access to the towns vadar system.
Is it that it will allow the Light manager to get the access from him to take a look see and know more about the towns stuff.
This will like other things be deleted and will show up on the real Templeton watch as a time stamped deleted entry for the proof is in the time stamp.

So stop blaming the light commissioners for the added debt, they just asked for it, town meeting said do it and the selectmen supported it!
So they just asked for it when they have millions in the bank they want to pay interest to make the profit margin smaller so they can keep the rates higher than needed to run the Templeton light monopoly. 8% max ask the admin of state regulator jeffy!
ReplyDeleteIt's amusing to have an anonymous poster write about credibility.
Audio here is writing Jeffy.
I think no one talks here if you hear it you need more help than the closet your in can help you with. Don't be afraid any longer that way if you sign your posts jeffy will know he has three who post comments and maybe 4 who read.
