Communication from town, all is well financially.
Facts on the ground:
Selectmen get paid, moderator will get paid, advisory wants to get paid and we need to take money out of the town general stabilization fund to cover costs of snow & ice? If I recall, at the end of November 2022 special town meeting, there was over 500 thousand dollars in so called free cash.
Thats right! Thats when Adam/Selectboard changed the Financial Management Policy B(1) without fulling understanding what they were doing. I firmly believe this is due to Adam and Carters not following the FMP and the Selectboard just sitting their dazed and confused. The Selectboard did not hold Carter or Adam accountable to follow the Financial Management Plan or any other Policy as Mr. Bennett has pointed out many times. The Taxpayers have blame also......They have allowed the Selectman too repeatedly fail to do their one job related to employees, Adam. They somehow seem to think have been fooled into thinking these Selectman are actually doing a good job and should get more pay?
ReplyDeleteI'm not opposed to paying anyone, but I am opposed to paying anyone for the type of performance achieved by this Selectboard and Administration.
The same mentality was used prior to 2012 that is being presented now. The biggest difference is we are paying $300,000 for the bad governance this time up front.
