Templeton Insurance Advisory committee is suppose to be made up of seven employees and one retiree, and they seem to meet during work hours, usually in the morning. If anyone checks, insurance for employees is one of the largest items on the town spending plan and it would seem in the best interest of the town, as in the people who pay for it, that these meetings would be in the evening when most of them could attend. So why are these meetings in the morning during the work day? I guess the employees do not wish to take time off from their evenings and hold these open meetings when people could attend. Perhaps this committee wishes to have the fewest people in attendance as possible. That would appear to be the case.Meeting in the morning when most people cannot attend reminds me of how the old personnel board use to meet, at around 8:00 A.M, so much for open transparency.

ReplyDeleteWe had to remove and advisory member due to conflict of the laws.
The member removed was,Little Jeffy Been it.
One would have thought he would have known he was not allowed to serve and when some found out it was not allowed they wanted to file a complaint like he would.
After some discussion i was able to convince the complainer to let it go for Jeffy's sake.
"For he not know what he do"!
Did Ya Little Been it
The only real question now is does he now?
These meetings are only a advisory talk and have little clout.
As stated in the selectmans meeting the real opinion was when the General manager at the TMLWP told them to do what he advised them to. The same motion i made at the meeting we had and no one seconded.
So listen to the bad guy or make your own opinion we are all allowed to have them when we want them.
